Here's Mandy with no bangs. It's a little long but it would still be cute 3 inches shorter. She has lots of good hair inspiration pics!

@mrs. wagon: the waves were too hard to maintain -- they had to be cut so frequently otherwise it was serious ahjumma territory and the curls kept getting cut off and i couldn't keep perming my hair!
i don't really have the bangs with that cut, btw! i'll try and find a pic!

@mrs. wagon: I think loose curls would look really nice at mid length. Just have your stylist layer it so it frames your face well otherwise it might look bottom heavy.

@JerricaBenton: ooh, just saw the pic. cute!! I wouldn't do bangs but I like the layers.

@Mrs. Cowgirl: what happened to the short waves?? I loved those!! :( I do love that long bob, so so so cute, but I can't do the sideswept bang (I have zero forehead, it's ridiculous) so I'm not sure how it would look sans bangs.

@BoogieBea: that was actually my first thought (mid length with wavy perm). Not sure how I will like the waves so high up near my face (I usually perm only the bottom half and leave the top half smooth) but I like the idea of a messy, wavy look.

@Jennimac: @artbee: that is an excellent point-- less hair = less time to style it! That is definitely something I need to take into consideration!

@JerricaBenton: That does sound easiest... my hair used to be pin straight so shags were tricky, but now with age it's gotten a little wavier so this just may work well for me.

this is what i'm going for as i grow out my hair -- http://pinterest.com/pin/261349584597353319/
it's pretty much a longer version of what i have now -- i have to blow dry and flat iron the ends, but it takes maybe 10 minutes and i only wash my hair every 3 days! good luck!

I think you'd like a mid-length shag. It holds it's shape as long as you keep up with the cut and works with wavy or straight hair. Lots of layers around the face. My mom has basically had that cut forever and swears by it.

ETA: pic - kinda like Many Moore style? This is straight but the cut looks cool when it's wavy, too.

I cut my hair in a short bob because I wanted to have enough to donate and its lower maintenance then I thought it would be. I shower at night and sleep with it wet, then it gets messy in the morning. But since I have such little hair now it takes about 3 minutes to straighten it in the morning.

I cut 8 inches off my hair about 4 months ago and I love it. I wash it at night and straighten it in the morning because my hair tends to curl when it is shorter. I love it. In the mornings that I do wash it and blow dry it, it's so much faster than when it was longer.

My hair is actually mid length now - right at my shoulders. My hair gets super statically during the winter from the ends rubbing against my clothes. I wish I can put it up but my kids hate when I have my hair up for some reason. They always make me take it out. So I'm looking to cut it shorter. I actually like short cuts but I think it makes me look super young. Can you have it mid length with a wavy perm?

I have NEVER liked any short haircut that I've ever had... which is why my hair is usually long. And it's always permed either straight (magic perm) or wavy (digital perm) so that it's low-maintenance (don't have to dry or style it after showering!). But I'm finally at the point where I think I need to transition to shorter hair. I'm twisting my hair up into a bun almost every day, and the days I leave it down, it's up about 50% of the time so I can pump or eat or put a kid down for bed in comfort.

Any ideas for a shorter 'do? I've been googling mid-length hairstyles but they all look really high maintenance!! It already takes me almost an hour to get ready in the mornings with pumping so I just can't afford another 15 mins for blowdrying.
