Um... it takes TIME!!!!!!! But I still don't sleep as I used to before Mavrick. I just think it's the mommy instinct. We have this internal alarm that sets off easily.

@Rubies: i sleep with a sound machine and the LO doesn't!! she makes so much noise in her sleep that it would wake me up way too many times a night if i didn't have sound machine for myself. give it a try!!

@Andrea: So, I share a wall with LO's room and I can actually hear her sound machine through the wall, which helps. I've thought about buying my own sound machine but feel silly...But I might just have to do it. My lack of sleep is getting ridiculous. As for anxiety...Maybe. I mean hubs falls asleep within seconds but I'm up because my mind is just racing. SIGH!

No, I don't. My LO sleeps 8-12 hours a night but I only sleep for 4-5 hours. There is just so much to do after she sleeps and I have trouble falling asleep these days!

I NEVER get a good night's sleep...Even if LO sleeps many hours in a row and I'm utterly exhausted, it takes me a loooong time to fall asleep and then when I do, it's very light and I startle awake at every sound. I never get into a nice deep restorative sleep. It's making me nuts.

Do you get good quality sleep?
