At that age DS was waking up at 11, 2, and 5 like clockwork! Night sleep will further consolidate in the next few weeks!

When LO was 2-3 weeks, she got up every 3-4 hours to eat at night and 1.5-2 hours during the day. I was definitely sleep deprived! Don't worry, it gets better! LO slowly started stretching out her night sleep and by 6 weeks she was going 5-6 hours for the first night feed. Hang in there!

we were getting two or two and a half hour stretches until the past two nights. She is usually up for an hour or so between cycles, and we usually can't get her back to bed unless she is already asleep when we put her in her bassinet.

This predictable schedule we have going on right now is pretty nice though cuz it helps me get sleep too!

We most often get three hour stretches, but sometimes get the odd 3.5 or 4... and of course a couple 2.5 or 2's every now and then too :(

DS ate evry 2-3 hours until just recently; he's 10 weeks old. He would do a four hour stretch every few days, but nothing consistent until this week.

LO is 15 days old - last night was his best night of sleep. He slept 3.5 hours, woke for an hour to feed/etc, then slept another 2.5, woke for 30 minutes, then slept for another hour and a half.

I have actually in the past woke him up to nurse at the 3 hour mark, but his sleeping schedule has been so poor that last night I didn't do it.

Sounds normal! My son used to wake up every 2-3 hours at that age too.

Yeah, that sounds about right. We actually woke our baby up every 3 hours for the first few weeks if she decided to sleep any longer than that. I wanted to establish my supply, and DD needed to gain some weight. We also had a lot of trouble getting her back down to bed in between feedings during those early weeks. It does get better though. Try to stick to a nighttime routine, and your baby will eventually understand that nighttime is mostly for sleeping. Our baby is 8 weeks now, and she only wakes once in the night to feed.

That is way more than my LO got at that age!!! She's 5 weeks tomorrow and the first wake up of the night is 3hrs and then it's 2hrs and sometimes even an hr! I think it's because shes' so sleepy she doesn't nurse much when she wakes.
And she has only started napping better during the day very recently.

oh honey that is totally normal!! and expected :) DS never went longer than that for food during the first month. He slept his first 6 hour stretch at 6 weeks. I think he went four hours at 4 weeks. You're lucky though, our LO would often only sleep 1.5-2 hours during the first month unless he was held! The only way I could get any sleep is if DH held DS in the rocking chair. It was awful. lol, by week 4 we were SO sleep-deprived.

For the past 2 nights my little one has been getting up every three hours to eat. I feed her every three hours during the day, and his continues through the night. In fact, she gets up at three hours on the minute (12, 3, 6, 9, etc.)

How often does your LO wake up at this age?
