Learn to tandem &amp; if you have NICU time ask your nurses for tips! Learn to babywear! Find a local IBW group &amp; become BFF's with their tandem wearing expect. Your arms will get buff! Times were crazy at first. Start getting babies ready for a feeding about 10 before feeding time so you don't have crazy angry babies. At times I had to put one in the ergo while I changed the other. </p> <p>I was never really scared about it because I just accepted what God gave us &amp; went with it. </p> <p>Financially...well breastfeed didn't go well for us so we supplemented with a lot of formula. Lots of ready to feed Alimentum. Because the ready to feed doesn't have corn &amp; my kids both had MSIP &amp; Coen intolerances :-/ $22 a day on formula until they were 10 months old &amp; finally grew out of it. </p> <p>Sleep... I didn't sleep. I went 36 hours one to many times without sleep. Set up help. Call your church for meals. We finally hired a nanny for 12 hrs a week from 7-12 weeks. It was a huge help! My kids ended up STTN by 9 weeks! Keep them on the same schedule if you can. </p> <p>I am nervous. We will use our church's meal ministry this time so that will help as well as hire a nanny for a few months. I'm going to push harder this time to breastfeed &amp; will be able to relax better with the extra help. I didn't have much help those first few weeks &amp; it killed my supply! </p> <p>You will figure out a way to make it all work because you are a super mom. I'm still really wondering how to do normal things for two at a time (breastfeeding, carrying them, etc.) and even my daycare provider brought up the issue yesterday of how am I going to bring my kids in since there will be 3 of them and 2 of me. I know I'll figure it out, but it's a bit overwhelming. Did you ever feel scared about having the twins and honestly was it as bad as you thought it would be (financially, with lack of sleep, etc.)? Here I was freaking out about having 3 under 2.</p> <p>Location: Oregon</p> <p>Number of kids: 3 (18 month ds and twins due soon)</p> <p>EDD if pregnant: April 11 is my due date but my c-section is scheduled for March 30th if they don't come before then.</p> <p>Fun fact: I have half brothers who are twins (via IVF for my dad and stepmom) and DH has fraternal twin brothers but there are absolutely no twins in my maternal side of the family.
