We use the dustmop and mop treatment. I vacuum, dry dust with our duster, then use the wet mop treatment. There is nothing wrong with using a steam mop on laminate! My husband is in the flooring business and it's what we do. Should be here this week, so I haven't used it yet, but I can't wait! We also have some laminate floors. I bought this one from NBD because it has 3 settings: one for hardwoods, one for laminate/vinyl, and one for tile. I do use a steam mop on it and steam it once a week or once every two weeks. It is quick and easy to use, and has a reusable cloth. Its head is bigger then wet jet which is nice, and can get into corners etc. It works great. I dont have kids, but have 2 big dogs with muddy paws and my husband and I who often have bare feet! I can quickly clean the floor every day if I wanted to, and use whatever cleaning solution I want.
