So to that point it may take some adjustment but you can end up being ok w/ white noise (unless you've tried before and just don't like ANY noise period).</p> <p>Also it depends if you can fall back asleep quickly. I only needed it on the lowest setting since I would wake if there was any noise. it wasn't a problem for me. But you are right at the same time that you will probably hear it anyway. I was upstairs across the house. DS sleeps with white noise and a humidifier too, but I have zero problems hearing him if he needs me in the MOTN and we sleep in separate bedrooms with our doors closed. I guess I'm a light sleeper too? </p> https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/monitors-white-noise-and-light-sleepers#post-2504340 Wed, 23 Mar 2016 12:13:39 +0000 birdofafeather 2504340@https://boards.hellobee.com/ <p>we've used a foscam for our monitor since DD1 was a baby. we mostly used it to check video as we can always hear her. so at night, i never left it running. same for DD2, except for now, i'm worried about her waking up DD1 in the MOTN. i've thought about leaving the sound on all night so i can hear right away, but there are a couple issues that i'm hoping you can guide me on!</p> <p>1) we run white noise all night, so that means white noise all night for me. not necessarily an issue, but a consideration.<br /> 2) i'm a light sleeper, so i would probably wake up if DD2 made any random noises, not just crying ones, which kind of negates the reason we moved her into another room in the first place if i'm waking up all the time!</p> <p>so do you run the sound on your monitor all night long? do the little noises wake you up if you're a light sleeper?</p> <p>side note: my parents have one of those monitors that only turn on the sound when there is a louder sound than the white noise, but it would ALWAYS wake me up randomly when DD1 would move around, so i stopped using it at their house too! ha. </p>
