We have done basketball and baseball games unsuccessfully but my son does love trucks. I think because of that and all the activity he was totally content to clap and watch. For me, I was not interested in even attempting going for many reasons (he is young, the smell and sound, and the cost, it is not a cheap outing) but my husband wanted to try it and I am glad they did.</p> <p>@adira I honestly did not research much, I looked for good ratings on Amazon and a set that could arrive Prime fast. Here are the ones he wore, I tried them on and thought I could still hear quite a bit of my car radio (so not loud) definitely muffled but I would have expected them to block more. Although maybe my expectations are off? My husband wore nothing, not even the ear plugs I ran out to get him. He said he should have. I think the 2.5yo had more fun than the older on but the older has been a few times. My husband took him without me and they did arrive probably 30 min late but he made it through the entire show. </p> <p>He was definitely unsure in the beginning but settled in. I did order an ear protection headset on Amazon which helped immensely. If you're not familiar with it, it's where the drivers and cars are out before the show and you can get photos and autographs. It's pretty fun, having been to several myself now with my 7 year old.
