@macintosh: our full length mirror in our bedroom has so many handprints right at toddler height. It's kind of hilarious (or gross considering how infrequently I clean it...). I'm sure the toddler will enjoy it as well but will put it on the ground level so baby can see too.

We have some kind of tacky mirrored closet doors. They are in every room! I'm glad they are sturdy because they get a lot of abuse...and fingerprints.

I ordered a cheap plexiglass mirror from amazon. I kept it loose and would prop it up different places the baby was hanging out. Because it's plastic and very light I wasn't worried about it getting knocked around.

@Bubbles: I order everything from Amazon, why didn't I think to look there?

IKEA doesn't have a bigger kids one on the website right now and I can't tell about the target ones. But obviously Amazon will have it!

We had one in our last place from Amazon that was a safety mirror, like I think it was plastic not glass? It came with sticky bits on the back, DS1 loved it when he was little!

Eta like this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003EB3M8O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_NfqNxbYM0DWRR

We just have a regular ikea cheapy one screwed to the wall. She loves it and pulls up on the frame and bangs on it.

She's 9 months and has been enjoying it for over a month now.

@Cole: yeah the baby is almost 8 months now- so I'm trying to think of something that can stand a little banging with her hands at least. Plus big sister still bangs the mirror with her hands sometimes.

We did a cheapie Target one in her room and hung it with command Velcro style strips. I took it down once she was getting to an age where she could potentially break it (maybe 9-10 months?) She's 21 months now and I think she could handle it off I put it back up again now. For awhile there it was just so tempting to bang on that I was worried a block was going to be used when I wasn't looking or something.

@Foodnerd81: I had a nice cheap mirror from Ikea that's bendy and I stuck it alongside the changing table, that would work perfect for this! I got it in the kids department.

Do you have a mirror down low on the wall for your baby? Are there certain types to use for safety? Or can you just by the cheapie target framed ones and put it on its side?

I'm thinking that would be fun for the baby and the toddler in the playroom!
