Thank you so much for all the positivity everyone!

@runnerd: glad everything turned out OK!

@Bluemasonjar: thank you, the weeks have been dragging but just 2 more days!

@SunriseMama: thanks so much. I have heard about the sensititivity after sex. Unfortunately that's not my case, as I've been so nervous about bleeding that I have no interest in bd!

@2littlepumpkins: thank you and glad it worked out for you! The waiting is awful, I feel anxious all the time and it's so hard when no one at work knows what's going on so I feel like I just have to fake it all day.

@jaguar: Based on the ultrasound I had, I should be just over 7 weeks. The spotting has been off and on since before I got my bfp.

@erinbaderin: thank you for sharing that!

I've had spotting go either way.

I had light spotting during my second miscarriage. I had seen a healthy heartbeat, but was measuring about a week behind, and then had light light spotting when I wiped. I went to the ER, mostly to get my Rhogam shot, but they did an ultrasound and didn't find a heartbeat. I was around 8-9 weeks.

This most current pregnancy I had gushes of bright red bleeding at 11 weeks and 15 weeks. I at first was dx with SCH, but at 15 weeks a placenta previa was found. I'm now 28 weeks.

Try to stay positive. Bleeding made me so scared and paranoid. I'm sorry you are experiencing this.

I had red bleeding at 5w5d that went away, and then came back about a week later and turned into spotting that lasted over a week. That baby is 3 weeks old today. Fingers crossed!

In my second pregnancy I did have a VERY early vanishing twin but also had some bleeding and lots of brown spotting for weeks after that. It was ok. I know how it feels to wait out these early weeks just not knowing and it's very difficult. I had 3 ultrasounds before getting a heartbeat, and three betas (one with slowing numbers, which turned out to be the vanishing twin but we thought it was the beginning of the end) and it was just the longest couple of weeks of my life. It turned out ok for us; we were so lucky. I hope everything turns out to be fine.

@Goldengirl: I had brown spotting with both my pregnancies through the whole first trimester. With my first pregnancy, I was 18 weeks and went to the bathroom and saw bright red blood. And not a little bit. I was completely freaked out and sure it was over, but when we went to the ER, our baby was measuring perfectly and moving around. We found out there that he was a boy, and that boy is now very healthy and entering kindergarten in the fall. They couldn't find anything wrong in the ER, but my OB told me it was likely intercourse that caused it. I can't remember why, either because there's extra blood in that area during pregnancy or because the cervix is so sensitive. Another friend of mine also had bleeding after intercourse for both her very healthy pregnancies.

I too scoured every single online message board when I had bleeding and always promised myself I'd go online and update with my happy conclusion if things worked out.

I hope you get reassuring news on Thursday. I know how terribly scary it is.

I had spotting that turned to bleeding the first few weeks. I went in to get my levels checked because I was sure something was wrong but a few days later the spotting stopped and everything was fine. So hard not to worry! Hope Thursday gets here quickly for you.

Both my successful pregnancies were filled with all levels of bleeding in the first trimester. It's always disheartening to see blood, but I have learned it really doesn't mean anything on its own.

@PinkElephant: thanks! I think I've read every message board on the Internet about this topic so I know majority of the cases seem to turn out just fine. Trying to keep telling myself that, it's just so hard not knowing! Luckily not having any bad cramps or actual heavy bleeding. But any bit of red makes me begin to spiral.

@Goldengirl: in my first pregnancy I had bright, dark bleeding at six weeks, and even heavier bleeding at twelve weeks. I was positive both times I was losing my baby. She's now almost four years old. With my second pregnancy I kept waiting for the bleeding, but it never happened, and it's been so far, so good (touch wood!) in this pregnancy as well. Nothing brought on my bleeding, and it was never diagnosed as anything specific.

Fingers crossed your situation turns out similarly!!

@ocean81: thank you, it's helpful to hear positive outcomes even though I know every situation is unique. I really didn't think these first few weeks would be so hard. I'm trying not to think about it but it's impossible. Wish I was one of those lucky no-spotting pregnancies!

I'm so sorry you are going through this, it sucks. I had brown spotting with my daughter that was full on red bleeding from 7 - 8 weeks. I understand how painful the wait is. Sending you all of the positive thoughts!

@Mrsbells: I wish! But no, it was booked a couple weeks ago and the hospital I go to is crazy busy. I'm in Canada so things work a bit different and sometimes slower here! I think the reason they wanted me to wait anyway is because the first time I went, it was too early to see anything and very disappointing. They wanted to make sure it's been long enough this time to get clear answers.

So after stopping for about a week, my spotting has returned, heavier this time. On the weekend it happened after a BM (tmi sorry!). There was a bit of blood in the toilet and when I wiped but stopped pretty immediately and went to a bit of light brown. Then last night wiped bright red again and today still having some more reddish spotting, enough to cover a liner. No cramps. I have my ultrasound booked for Thursday and my doc said nothing else to do at this point until we see what the ultrasound shows. I am so nervous with all this stupid bleeding/spotting. Trying to stay calm but I feel upset every time I see it in the bathroom.

I know no one can say anything to make the outcome any different but would appreciate any positive stories in relation to something similar happening, if you have one. Really hoping things will still work out but it's hard to keep faith after the early ultrasound showed nothing and I've been spotting light and heavier since day 1. Appreciate any support, it's so hard to talk about this with anyone else!
