My mom tells me this stuff ALL the time and it drives me crazy cause I'm her second! I consciously tried to only do stuff with the first I felt I could manage with two.

I still made all the food for my 2nd LO. We do have food allergies so I can't be relaxed about food, unfortunately. It is kind of stressful.

I feel I'm more relaxed with my first than most moms! I'm sure I still do some new mom things but I'm not as crazy as I thought

I think you get more relaxed as they get older. I'm definitely "whatever" about a lot of things with DS. You learn that the world won't end if they eat a cookie before dinner once in a while.

I think this is totally true if you have children without special needs. I think the only situation where it could get more intense is if your second or third kid has special needs. Then, you do give a sh*t, but in a totally different way.

A bit true. It's pretty quick for us to make baby food so I don't think LO2 will eat store bought ( but who knows she's still not there yet) but I have used more disposables this time around - between traveling a lot and so many more clothes for a winter baby and laundry. We still use cloth, just not as one tracked mind about it.

We don't have any yet (until next month!) but DH's friend at work were talking about introducing their first babe to solids. And one guy with three kids said they were really careful with their first to ensure no allergies, etc. But the third started solids because her older siblings randomly started feeding her one night at dinner and the parents realized "oh! i guess she is ready.. good job guys!" hahaha

I read a funny comment the other day...

1.) Your first born gets homemade, organic baby food.
2.) Your second born gets store-bought baby food
3.) Your third born is lucky if they get scraps at dinner.

True? :) I already surprised myself at how not OCD I've been since I've had DS. I have a feeling it'll ring true for me.
