I was the same way.. and honestly took a lot of naps on/off even in the early second trimester. I'm 16 weeks now and def dont take naps as often (if ever) anymore.

@Andrea: At work I walk and stand a lot, so lately I'm counting that as my exercise. In an 8 hour shift, I'm standing at least 7 1/2 hours. :-) Between all of the walking and lifting of wedding dresses, I'm beyond exhausted at the end of the day.

@heartsnsunshine: I get up to go to work, and when I get home from work, all that I want to do is sleep.

I'm glad to hear that it gets better and there's something to look forward to! @MaisyMay: I'm around 8 weeks and I've never felt so tired and feel the same way you do about going to bed and not wanting to get out of bed. I wish I had a pregnant friend that lives by me and we could force each other to take a daily walk or just get me off my butt!!

I thought people were lying when they said you feel better the 2nd trimester because it felt never ending, but it really does get better! Hopefully soon for you :)

I just want to give you a ray of hope. There is absolutely nothing harder than the first trimester... And it's a time when most people don't cut you slack because they don't know you are pregnant... but it was by far the hardest time in pregnancy (for me).

And then second tri comes and the heavens open up and sing and all is right with the world!

I was exhausted during first trimester. second was infinitely better - still tired, but I could function! I actually thought I was developing insomnia because I was so used to sleeping 6pm-7am, and all of a sudden I was up until 10pm!

My exhaustion lifted around 17 weeks and it was like getting a new lease on life! Hang in there...this will soon be a distant memory.

I felt that way through 13 weeks, then I got some energy back. The second trimester was, by far, my favorite. A few more weeks and you're there!

I'm currently 9w5d and I am finding that I am more tired now than ever! I had some energy for a few weeks, but the last few days I've come home and stayed on the sofa until dinner time, then rested until bedtime. Once I've gone to bed, I don't want to get up, and getting out of bed in the morning is torture. Ugh.

Somebody please tell me that in a few weeks I'll get more energy!
