Physically? 100% being pregnant with a toddler, especially towards the end.

Having a newborn and a toddler is exhausting in a different way, but in my opinion, much more manageable.

@winniebee: @MrsF: I think it totally depends on how you handle pregnancy and what kind of newborns you get! I think pregnancy is harder because I physically feel bad plus I'm tired. My newborns have been typical newborns but no colick. So even though I'm exhausted and often wanted to cry, at least I physically felt a million times better!

@MrsF: @winniebee: I said with my first that I'll take newborn days 10 times over rather than pregnancy. I've just had really hard pregnancies. No one can help you feel less tired and miserable when you're pregnant, but you can have help in the newborn days. I guess it just depends on your pregnancy and your kid!

It's more tiring now with a 7 week old and 2 year old. My husband has already had to go out of town twice and the girls tag team wake ups. I've never been so exhausted in my life.

Says the lady whose infant won't go back to sleep at 3:44 am, whose toddler will wake for the day at 6.

When I was pregnant with DD, DS was almost 2 and I wouldn't say either was particularly hard. I was working full time and pregnancy was fine, and when I was home with LO2 because I wasn't working it was easily manageable.

This time, I am pregnant with LO3 with a 5 year old and a 3 year old and I am exhausted. I'm only in the first trimester, but this fatigue is killing me. I can only hope that this time the newborn phase with two other LOs will be easier than this!

Pregnant with a baby wasn't so bad for me (DS was 4 months when I got pregnant so I was the majority of his first year).

And young toddler with a baby wasn't bad, either.

But oh my goodness, a young one year old and a young two year old has been EXHAUSTING lately. I'm more tired now (despite my youngest STTN now for two months) than I ever was the last couple years. These two keep me on my toes all day long.

Thanks everyone! I'm 34 weeks pregnant with an almost-3-year-old, and I can't wait to be able to eat normally, sit on the floor, not need to pee every 30 minutes, and reach my feet. I was uncomfortable in my first pregnancy, but at least I got regular naps and mental downtime. The thought of how hectic things will be with two little ones is daunting, but I really don't like being pregnant!

I had a relatively healthy, easyish second pregnancy but omg baby plus toddler is so, so much easier!!! My LOS are 24 months apart. I didn't realize quite how exhausted I was from pregnancy until life was suddenly easier postpartum. Definitely a breeze now that we are pushing 4 months, compared to being pregnant.

i think a big part for me is that i also work full time now and i find that to add so much to the exhaustion. i am looking forward to being home everyday!

I'm 27 weeks pregnant with a very active and strong willed 2.5 year old and this has to be worse because seriously.... I'm narcolepticly tired. I'm also anemic right now so I'm sure that isn't helping.

Having a newborn and a toddler was definitely way more tiring for me.

Having done this twice though, I am generally a much better pregnant person than I am a mom to a newborn. I've tolerated third trimester stuff pretty well but I have a really hard time with the newborn period.

Pregnant! I've solely done nighttime w ds2 and I didn't really feel tired until 8 wks or so and he started sleeping longer then so overall it's been a smooth ride! We've been out and about nearly every day too. Ds1 is now in preschool a few days a week too so that Made it even easier the last few weeks.

@Mamasig: I seriously do not know how people can do that! Like, I was always thinking two, possibly three kids, but I literally cannot imagine doing this again with two! At least now I can nap when she does (making up for not doing that when she was tiny?).

So glad to hear these responses. Thank you ladies.

Pregnant with a toddler was worse. I was so tired, I let my toddler watch a show on the ipad before bed instead of reading to her. :(That way I could clean up and go to bed as soon as she went to sleep. The first 10 days of my pp recovery were rough due to pain and lack of sleep, but since then I've felt pretty good.
