@jholler25: love the pink :) I've heard that while the ub isn't the best double, it's definitely do-able. Also a lot of people put the older child in the rumble seat, which makes it harder to push...once the baby is sitting up/older, you're supposed to put them in the rumble seat and the older kid in the toddler seat--helps the weight distribute better and makes it way easier to push! Just something I know I'll try to keep in mind :)

@jholler25: yup, that was our intention, to make the vista our one and only stroller. Since we don't travel much so far it's just been the vista, and we love it!

@Sammyfab: @mrs. wagon: Thank you! That is so helpful!

@mrs. wagon: Will you use the UBV as your main stroller with the rumble seat and the ridealong board? My intention is to just use our UBV as a double, even if it isn't the BEST double stroller it could be. I don't want to have to buy a double after we spend $650 on the UBV!

Oh and in honor of the new attach pics feature...I HAVE to post the pink...I have still not totally detached myself from the idea of getting the pink!

We bought ours at a deep discount because we got a friends and family discount.. if we didn't have that, we would have bought a refurbished one from the factory since it's 20 mins away. The customer service is amazing. The guy who refurbishes and fixes strollers is this cool, young guy with piercings and tattoos and he threw in a snack tray for free :)

That being said... the absolute MUST HAVES are:

snack tray
parent organizer (or similar... there are cheaper ones by other brands like sunshine kids that work just as well)
adapter for your infant carseat

Now that we have a second baby, we will purchase a rumble seat and maybe the ridealong board. I'm trying to score them used on craigslist. If I can't, I'll purchase with registry completion from Amazon.

Unneeded:
Covers for bassinet (we rarely use it outside of the house, and if we ever did, we'd just use a blanket or something)
Cup holder (parent organizer is much better since it can hold two cups, or a cup and a bottle/sippy cup, your cell phone, your wallet, etc.)

I am NOT going to go look at the new pink color. Now that we have a little girl I would be way too tempted.... (we have a red one)

When I first discussed the uppababy with DH he balked at the price. Then we went to check it out and he test drove it by doing donuts round me! Needless to say, he fll in love with it!

We got a peg perego carseat from my bil.

We bought the cup holder but in retrospect the parent organizer would have been a better purchase. We will get the snack tray in a few months.

@jholler25: Yes, it's like a nylon-y fabric almost. Like not at ALL rough on the skin (feels very smooth) but it's not like soft cotton where spills would seep in immediately. I haven't spilled anything on it (yet!) but it seems like liquids would bead up on top at least for a few minutes. I'm sure we'll have plenty of opportunities to test that out, lol. And yes, it terms of a long term investment, I think it is the way to go--that's what swayed me over the bugaboo--the utility of it (the rumble seat, plus the piggyback board, the ability to use the bassinet as a sleeper at night when baby is little, the massive basket, etc). And it's TOTALLY warranted to want it RIGHT THIS MINUTE, lol. I"m so impatient waiting for things to come!

@hilsy85: I was hoping that you might say what you thought about the fabric staying clean...I didn't think to inspect it in the store....But I was hoping that it's like fabric Coach purses or something where it's already pretty well scotch-guarded and the fabric holds up pretty well...Good to know, Thanks! And if we had ours, I would zoom it around our house every day, for sure! I'm amazed at how smooth it "drives." Lol. I started to ask the sales girl, "There's nothing else that you would recommend that's comparable to this one?" And she cut me off mid-sentence and said, "No. This stroller is definitely the most well-rounded and even though it's more expensive than others, you get A LOT for what you're paying." She was pretty emphatic, and that got me even more excited....Part of me was wondering if it's the "trendy" in me that wants a stroller like the UBV, so I'm even more impatient to get my hands on it now that I know the UBV fever is warranted, and not just me wanting to be "cool." Haha:)

@jholler25: Exactly! And I feel like the UB fabric is really conducive to staying clean--it doesn't seem like it would soak up liquids and I think it'll be easy to wipe down. Anyway, glad you made your decision and feel confident about it! I for one am so glad our stroller arrived so I can stop obsessing lol. Now I just play with it all day (not really all day. well, maybe kind of all day :P)/

@hilsy85: Yes, mica has the black frame....I went back and forth between the cole and the mica, and then had a brief moment of weakness for the new pink (it's SO PRETTY! Even DH was loving it...And I know we could change it out later, but I guess that will be one more thing to worry about so it makes more sense to stay with a neutral color)....I was worried about the mica getting dirty easy, but then I recently went to a consignment shop that had a ton of "gently used" strollers like Bobs, etc, (no ubvs) and I saw that apparently, even black gets dirty, so it doesn't really matter what color I guess:) The kid's going to be eating in it and drinking in it, and we'll just have to do our best to keep it clean:)

@jholler25: love the mica...is that one of the ones that comes with the all black frame? We went with the cole/slate--we love the blue, and I feel like it would look equally good with pink blankets and stuff later on down the line. Although UB does sell fabric sets to change the color, so who knows, maybe we'll do that if we have a little girl, lol.

@hilsy85: Thanks for sharing! We got so overwhelmed with the stroller itself that we didn't really get into specifics about the carseat/accessories:)

Although I LOVE the new pink - like LOVE it - I think I'm going to go with the Mica so it'll be gender neutral for babies down the road...What color did you get?

Yay! Ours just arrived on Friday and we are in love with it as well :) We are getting the chicco keyfit 30 carseat, and we've so far registered for the cupholder, the parent organizer, rain cover for the bassinet, and the snack tray. The stroller comes with a rain cover & mosquito netting for the toddler seat, and mosquito netting for the bassinet. Can't rate them yet unfortunately :)

What color do you guys think you're going to get?

I know that everyone wishes I would just buy the frickin' UBV and quit harassing HB with questions - lol, but I'm not ready to put everyone out of their misery yet!

DH and I went and test-drove the 2012 UBV at BBB yesterday and dude - we are in LOVE with it! So much for being thrifty and getting a used one! Once the BBB sales girl went through all the features and demonstrations, DH did not even flinch at the price and agreed that it was awesomely worth it. Whew!

We are going to put it on the registry and use the BBB 10% off completion code though so we don't have it yet:(

But, I digress....My questions for UBV mommies:

1.) What car seat did you buy?
2.) What accessories did you buy that you love, and which could you have done without?
