I found it really helpful to eat saltines before getting out of bed. Then, by the time I had showered I was better able to eat a real breakfast. I ate mostly oatmeal and english muffins the first few weeks.

Thank you everyone! I ended up with the cottage cheese and that has been tolerable. You guys do have me craving an egg sandwich though... If only someone else would cook it. I'm afraid if I start making it I won't be able to eat it by the time I'm done cooking!

All I could eat were plain bagels with light cream cheese or toast with butter. Not "spread" but butter lol.

The first thing I ate for weeks was saltines though. Basically before my eyes opened, I was reaching for them!

Coming back to add trail mix has been awesome, too, especially when I can't figure out what to eat. These two have been great:

http://www.target.com/p/archer-farms-black-white-trail-mix-38-oz/-/A-14741825#prodSlot=medium_1_33

http://www.target.com/p/archer-farms-a-handful-of-everything-trail-mix-27-5-oz/-/A-12942868#prodSlot=medium_1_2&term=archer+farms+a+handful+of+everything

Usually, I mix a handful of each and throw in a handful of Annie's Graham Cracker bunnies and snack on it at work with an apple and yogurt. It's been appealing even when nothing else has been!

Some people hate this, but when I can't stomach anything I go for plain cottage cheese. It tastes really mild to me, and it has protein so I can keep it down. Things like cereal and fruit come right back up.

Ugh. Reading this thread brings back memories....blech. Despite my overall McDonalds aversion, I lived off egg mcmuffins for breakfast. Then, I was on to chick Fil a's chicken biscuit. Those two things were filling & thankfully, never came back up.

I have a whole wheat English muffin with some type if cheese every morning. Sometimes I use Laughing cow. Otherwise, I just melt a piece of whatever we have on hand.

All I could stomach was toast and grilled cheese, maybe do some toast with jelly and protein powder? Or an egg, ham, and cheese english muffin. Or some oatmeal with protein powder? (as you can tell I used a lot of PP to get what I needed, I also couldn't keep anything down for about 10 weeks!)

I've cycled through what breakfasts work for me. I was always an oatmeal person (I'd make it with peanut butter and a few choc chips) but every since I started getting sick it just sounded gross. There was a week where all I wanted was everything bagels and cream cheese. Then peanut butter cliff bars. This week I made egg sandwiches on english muffins.

Lately I have been eating a plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese (half at 7 & other half at 9) or granola & yogurt. I have also been baking muffins from those easy mixes. Muffins are easy to eat. Some days I just need something that doesn't require much chewing! ;) Also dry cereal just to snack on. I have made eggs a few times on weekends too. I hope you feel better soon & can find something that sounds good to eat!!!

I had minimal morning sickness but what really helped for me was eating as soon as I got up... Having an empty stomach only compounded the nausea. Toast with sliced cheddar and a boiled egg was my go-to!

Smoothies have worked for me, as has toast and apple butter. I've also been doing Lara bars and yogurt. Sometimes, though, I just have graham crackers and green tea until I can stomach something else.

I think I was eating whole wheat toast with avocado smashed on top around that point- drizzle with olive oil and a touch of salt and its tasty and filling. I also had a lot of PBJ which doesn't help you. Yogurt? Smoothie- sometimes the iciness is really nice too.

If you can stomach dairy, I really like the Carnation instant breakfast. It tastes like chocolate milk but has a bit of protein added.

I woke up feeling horrible today. I'm on week 5 of morning sickness and need some suggestions. I can't think of any food that sounds decent. Can you guys suggest somethings to me for breakfast? Maybe something will click. I'd really like something with some protein so I can feel decent for a little while. (nut butters won't work for me :-/)
