THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!! I really appreciate your suggestions!

I am definitely going out to buy a huge box of Popsicles! I was trying gingerale today and it definitely was not helping. I did manage to get half a dish of pasta down at lunch so that was good. It hasn't come back up either. so YAY! I am going to have to buy a case of Gatorade too. I have been trying to find ginger candies every where in town but I haven't had any luck so far.

Again Thank You soooo much!

My nausea was mostly from getting too hungry so it was important to keep food in my belly. Though I had some terrible food aversions so I ended up eating a lot of applesauce and instant mashed potatoes.

I also seem to get really nauseous and pukey on an empty stomach. If my stomach's empty, I get that icky, gaggy pukey feeling. If you don't like Gatorade, try coconut water. It has less sugar than Gatorade. I tend to drink it when I have bouts of diarrhea to rehydrate quickly.

My morning sickness kind of comes in waves. I can still smell everything and gag at random smells. If my stomach's empty or too full, I feel gross. Water on top of a meal tends to make me nauseous.

Lime popsicles worked great for me. I pretty much lived on those and popcorn with a ton of salt.

@MamaLove: I completely agree with the gatorade - it wasn't too bad the 2nd time - not as fun, but definitely not as miserable as some other foods :(

Oh you poor thing! This part of pregnancy is no fun! For me, it varied by week during my morning sickness. At first crackers (saltines). Then bagels seemed to help. I sucked on jaw breakers and lemon drops. And toast helped. Sometime I'd have toast for breakfast and toast for dinner.

Gingerale helped a bit, and so did sprite. I think it was more just the bubbles.

It wasn't so bad that I needed meds but check with your doctor. My doctor said to eat WHATEVER made me feel better and not worry about nutrition at that point.

Oh, and gatorade! I got to the point where water made me feel nauseous, so I drank gatorade. (And, grossness aside, it doesn't taste bad coming back up!)

And the absolute MOST HELPFUL thing for me for my nausea was POPSICLES. I don't know why, but the coolness really seemed to help. I'd have a popsicle before I ate anything. Sometimes two in a row. My doc suggested them, and it really worked for me.

I'm still dealing with m/s (knock on wood just nausea) at 11 weeks and pray it passes soon.

Sucking on sour candy helps me and I eat small snacks all day long. I have also eaten a lot of saltines and had a lot of ginger ale!

Hang in there!

Talk to your doctor if you haven't already. They see this all the time and should have suggestions to help you.

Prescription anti nausea meds were the only thing that really helped me. Everything else I tried helped a bit, but didn't stop me from throwing up multiple times a day. Even on anti nausea meds I would still throw up a couple times a week, but I felt so much better and it was much easier to function at work and keep my pregnancy a secret.

I tried preggie pops but didn't like them at all. I liked the Gin Gin ginger candies and that helped a little bit. I ate very bland foods, which also helped a little bit.

I thought it would never pass, but then one day I started feeling a bit better. A week later morning sickness was all but gone.

I'm still dealing with morning sickness now (i'm 11 weeks) and the main thing that helped me was taking Unisom/B6 and occassionally I'd take a Zofran pill when it gets really bad. An empty stomach can really make you nauseous so try to eat anything that sounds good at the moment. It can be mexican food, salt & vinegar chips (my fave), animal crackers or WHATEVER...just try to keep your stomach full.

I'm approaching 12 weeks and it seems to be getting a little bit better. So hang in there. This too shall pass!

I tried every single natural remedy, and nothing worked. My doctor ended up prescribing Zofran for me, and that kept me from throwing up, although it didn't cure the nausea. Some non prescription things that helped a little bit were drinking hot herbal tea and flavored juiced. Water made me want to gag. Also I kept a ton of lemon candies and mints with me at all times. Sucking on one of those worked pretty well as a last resort.

I really hope your morning sickness passes quickly. It's pretty miserable.

I also just bought some preggie pop drops, and ive been sticking to Gatorade or G2. I keep saltines on my nightstand to eat before I fall asleep and as soon as I wake up. I read that you should give yourself more time to wake up in the am to let your body go slow. I also bought psi bands at babiesrus bit haven't figured them out yet.

Hope you feel better soon! :(

The only thing that worked for me was a combination of 3 prescription anti-nausea meds. I tried every different combination of food/beverage tricks you could imagine, but nothing other than the meds did anything for me.

None of the traditional remedies worked for me – having a little coke/pepsi did help a bit for a few weeks, but other than that, the only thing that helped was Rx anti-nausea meds. I also tried to eat whatever my body thought it could handle, so if I thought X food sounded good at the moment, I would try to get it as quickly as possible before the feeling passed and was replaced with nausea. I hope it passes quickly for you – it really is the worst feeling in the world.

I am so sorry @Pennylainne. I hope it passes quickly for you. I have heard ginger is supposed to help so I bought a ginger lemon tea to drink when I start to feel nauseous. I don't know much about them, but my sister had some wristbands she wore that were specifically designed for morning sickness. They seemed to help her.

The thou of water makes me queezie. I feel like death. I can't walk around with out feeling sick and dizzy and wanting to puke again.... *ughhhhh* I want to crawl in bed and never leave!

What helped you? What can I try? I need something to help. Even a little.
