I voted "other" as well because honestly, it depends on the day. I can usually tell once I'm up for an hour or so what the day will be like. My ms went away for a couple months and is now back worse than ever in my 3rd trimester. Right now I'm fighting the urge (still never thrown up - thank god) and nothing seems to help. Sometimes thinking of a certain food is enough to make the sickness worse, and other times it is smelling or seeing something. Bleck. I am so tired of feeling like this!

I voted "other" because it was all of the above PLUS just thinking about something. People would ask me what I had aversions to and just answering that question would make me want to puke. I also had problems brushing my teeth, morning and night.

My sense of smell has only seemed to increase in the past week (9w+). The nausea's been hanging around since 7w.

Being hungry at all triggers mine. I have to keep a full stomach, which is kind of tricky because feeling sick has made me pickier! Exercise also helps to diminish the effects.

I voted "smelling something". So many things triggered it for me including: anything DH cooked, coffee, smelling something gross while driving, most foods. Sometimes even talking/thinking about food I couldn't eat made me feel sick. It was horrible.

I haven't had morning sickness yet!
The first time around my prenatals made me sick. So I switched to gummies!

@lemondrop: not terrible at all! I told Hubs that my goal was to not complain about it since I asked for it, but that it was already a challenge.

I need an option for both other and smelling something. If I would even think about leftovers, I would get gaggy - even if I didn't smell them!

So glad you have morning sickness! (lol, that sounds terrible)!

Smells. I love going to breakfast on the weekends, and the worst was smelling bacon and eggs, I thought I was going to have to run out of the restaurant. I love food, but pregnancy and food did not get along for me.

Another time the cat threw up, I thought I was tough and could take it, nope.

You ladies will appreciate this.

When I told an older co-worker that I was pregnant, one of the first things she told me was that if her perfume ever bothered me to let her know so that she could stop wearing it! She also bought me sugar-free oreos and a thing of milk the next, plus flowers. :-)

I had the most sensitive nose and a very heightened sense of smell. Things that got to me was if hubby had a beer and it was on his breath I puked automatically, the smell of stale beer was (and sometimes is) too much to handle.

Another thing that was so hard to deal with was the cigarette smell, my boss would come in from his cig break and I would gag almost immediately...not an easy thing to overcome or avoid, as you can't really tell your boss to stop ha!

I voted for smelling something, but it was everything! @googly-eyes: I haven't been able to eat eggs at all!! (and I'm an EGG LOVER!)... I can't eat much chicken either!

But yea, smells def triggered my instant nausea the most, but I was constantly feeling sick for a few weeks.

My insanely sensitive sense of smell has definitely contributed to the nausea.

As for tastes, I'm really struggling with any kind of meat! Especially anything that is still attached the bone. Blech.

I voted smelling something but tasting something definitely was a trigger too! I still can't eat scrambled eggs (16 weeks) or applesauce. It almost hurts to just type them lol. The smell of our bathroom also killed me…I think it was the smell of toothpaste just floating around. Blech.

I voted "smelling something" but it was really all of them!! And it changed. One thing I liked in the beginning (like at 3w!) was eggs, then I hated eggs, now they're ok in the 2nd tri. Another thing that really nauseated me was chicken!

Well, y'all said not to pray for morning sickness, but I did, and she's been here for about a week now. I've yet to throw up, but have had all sorts of nausea. Milk seems to help, as does eating small meals frequently (which I do to control my diabetes), but there have been some fun moments.

The worse triggers seems to be my Hubs! He's tried to help out around the kitchen but his food combinations are questionable at the least. Plus, his morning breath gets to me, and I know he feels bad about that (so random!).

What triggered your morning sickness and how bad was it?
