@mrs.kiwi: I sold mine for $180 because I wanted to move it quickly and I was selling just the stroller, no snack trays, parent console etc. I watched a few on eBay and it seems like most sold for around $275. I didn't have the GT just the regular city mini double. The GT is more expensive, from what I understand it has bigger/rubber wheels and an adjustable handlebar.

@mrs.kiwi: I used mine for ~1.5 years and sold it was $300. It was in excellent condition.
I'm not sure if the GT is more durable, but it has more features than the regular. I loved that the handle bar could be adjusted easily, it was soooo easy to fold, I liked the location of the brake (by the handle) and there wasn't anything about the stroller that I didn't like.

@mrs.kiwi: I'm 5'2" without much upper body strength (although the heavier my twins get, the stronger I get, ha!) and do ok with the Indie Twin. It is heavy, but more than that it's just a cumbersome size/shape for a small person. I have a large suv so I have to lift it pretty high up. It took a couple tries to get a good strategy for lifting it up so that when I got it in it wasn't sticking up into my rearview mirror while driving. It just does not fold very compact, but I think that's a problem with a lot of large doubles. My sister has twins too and has another double (I'll text her to find out the name). It folds more compact because it has less fabric and less sturdy sides, etc. but it can't fit through her doors! So if her kids fall asleep on a walk she has to sit in her driveway while they nap. So I guess it's just a trade off of what you want/need - a smaller footprint that can get you in and out of standard doors or is your priority something that's light to lift and easy to fold, etc.

Eta: my sister's is the baby trend double expedition, but it looks like that might be discontinued!

@winniebee: @twodoghouse: do you think the bumbleride is ok if I want to take it in and out of the trunk of a sedan often? Both for size and weight/bulk to carry? I'm pretty petite and... Not that strong lol.

If you aren't committed to side by side, the CitySelect is an amazing workhorse, and replacement parts are relatively cheap in the event that you need them. We are the third owner on ours, it's 5 years old, and still awesome.

We have a bumbleride indie twin and I'm extremely happy with it. It's sturdy (and heavy) but very easy to push. It maneuvers really easily for a side by side! I've only had it for 1.5 years so I can't really tell you how well it holds up over time, but we're happy so far!

I just sold my city mini side-by-side double locally. I used it almost daily for 3 years and after I scrubbed down the wheels/frame and washed the fabric it looked great! Some minor wear on the seats and from where it folds but otherwise it was in excellent condition. So I think they hold up pretty well!

I don't know how committed you are to a side-by-side... we have a City Select that we love, it is so versatile and has been very durable. We've used it almost daily for close to 4 years now. It is nice to be able to easily remove part of the bulk of the stroller when you only have one child with you. And it folds easily for transport.

I need wisdom from the bees!!

We are expecting #2 and would like to purchase a side-by-side double stroller preferably used on Craigslist.

When I was pregnant with my first son i purchased a used bugaboo frog for $100 even though it was 5+ years old just bc I thought it would hold up well. And it has.

Which side by side strollers are known to be made well and last many years? I am looking into city mini but not sure how long it would last if I purchase used... Is a bob better? But I feel like it would be too bulky to put in my sedan! Bumbleride or mountain buggy???? Wahh I don't know!!

Thoughts/suggestions/experiences would be appreciated!!
