Kids names are so diversified these days, compared to when I was a kid, that even if you pick a "popular" name, your kid isn't likely to run into too many peers with the same name. My son's name is in the top 25 of this list, but closer to 200 on the SSN list. The boys names in particular on this site are not the "actual" popular ones, as per the Social Security list.
