Lots of bdays and anniversaries in addition to mother's and father's day. I think this year we're forgoing gifts for mother's day, father's day and our anniversary but I would really like DH to plan a date night for us around mother's day and have him plan the whole thing, get a babysitter, etc. My own mom, who lives nearby, is typically out of town for Mother's Day, but we'll probably go to my in-laws and DH and my FIL will grill. Possibly visiting a local garden or nature park. This is my first Mother's Day with my second daughter, so our plans will be modified to accommodate a 4-month old and likely will be something flexible and laid back :)</p> <p>Edited to add that this year I've gone in with my brother to buy our mom a piece of glass art that contains the cremated remains of her mother. It's the 5-year anniversary of my grandmother's death, and I've been wanting to do this for a long time but finally got everything together to actually do it.
