She is 2 weeks, to be fair we swaddled her with her arms out, and I don't think she even liked that

I take it off for the first side........feed then burp and re swaddle dor the second side........seems to help, but LO is really not a fan and I kinda ditched swaddling last night, seemed to make no difference in her sleep!

I kept the swaddle on. It drastically reduced the amount of time it took to get him back to sleep.

if her MOTN wakings are not more frequent, i would keep the swaddle on.

I kept H swaddled for MOTN feedings unless I smelled a dirty diaper. Otherwise he would wake up and want to play!

I keep her swaddled. Once she's unswaddled, she's awake and it takes too long to put her back to sleep.

@Dandelion: He's 11 weeks/6 weeks adjusted. He's been eating less overall, so I'm keeping tabs on it per my pediatrician's instructions.

Keep that baby swaddled! As soon as arms start flailing all is lost in our house!

I have needed to unswaddle because I can't get her to eat enough while swaddled and then she wakes up an hour later for more (and she gulps it down so she is pretty clearly hungry.) If there isn't a difference in his wakeups though I would leave him swaddled. The one thing I am hoping though is that since sometimes I don't bother reswaddling her that maybe I can use it as a tool for swaddle weaning when the time comes- swaddle her at bedtime and then leave it off once she wakes up for her first feeding.

How old? I say it's fine to keep swaddled. As long as your LO is gaining and past birth weight, there shouldn't be much concern.

Do you keep your LO swaddled for MOTN feeds?

Up until 2 - 3 weeks ago, we always changed his diaper and unswaddled LO for his MOTN feedings. But then recently, we've stopped changing pee diapers, and I've been keeping him swaddled. I think this keeps him drowsier...however, he also eats less! I can't get him to take a full feed (3 oz-ish), and he'll only take an ounce or so before nodding off to sleep. Not sure if this means he doesn't actually NEED the feeding at that hour? This is for his 4/5AM feed...
