DD is almost 8 months. She goes to bed around 6:30 and falls asleep on her own. We did nap/falling asleep training and she always goes in the crib sleepy-but-awake and has no trouble going to sleep.

She usually wakes up again around 10pm while i'm still awake. At this wake up I do not go in her room at all, I don't think she's hungry, I think her sleep cycles just wake her up and she has trouble getting back to sleep. She'll cry anywhere from 1 minute to 45 minutes. It's usually pretty sleepy sounding / not aggressive and she eventually falls asleep without any intervention.

Then she usually wakes up again around 2am. I get out of bed and go feed her. She's usually so sleepy / cuddly and falls right back asleep easily after eating and sleeps until morning at 7am.

My question: i do NOT mind feeding her at 2am... i actually kind of love it because she's so cuddly and lays on me for a while (which she doesn't do other times). I have low sleep needs and the wake up doesn't affect me at all. BUT, i'm mostly worried that hte 2am wake up is confusing for her.... since i feed her at 2am, why don't i feed her every time she wakes up (like the regular 10pm wake up). Am i making things worse by sometimes going in and sometimes not?? Do I have to drop the 2am feed? I always feel extremely guilty as she cries at 10pm and I don't go in there (aka, right now)
