@Foodnerd81: I hear you on the boob in the mouth! I keep telling LO I am going to bring this up in front of his friends when he's a teenager ;) We co-sleep too and DH will say, at least you're lying down! But, no. I'm awkwardly balanced so I don't squish LO and now I have a crick in my neck and my arms asleep ... so restful!

@Alivoo01: yes to the sneaking out backwards. Moms would make excellent burglars with our sneaking out skills!

@cmomma17: 17?? Ugh.

I suppose I'm lucky that cosleeping usually buys us another hour or so in the morning if we do it right- of course that's cosleeping with my boob in her mouth. Dh always suggests that like its super easy, though, and we definitely do it as needed, but it's not super restful to balance on your side just so, with nipple in mouth.

She is also back to her 38 minute naps. You could set an alarm by her.

@Alivoo01: I've tried co-sleeping in desperation before, but DS won't have it! When he wants to wake up - he's up! Nothing will calm him down, you just have to wait him out until he's ready for a nap. Which doesn't normally happen until around noon.. and by that point i'm at work.. ugh..

@Alivoo01: E won't sleep anywhere other than her own bed otherwise I would be tempted to co sleep myself. Anything to get sone rest! When you've been back to reinsert the dummy several times in the space of an hour you become desperate!!

OMG!! This!!!! DS used to be so easy to put to bed, but this past month. Oh lordy!! It's so bad with the constant wake ups that we've been co-sleeping. So I'm taking regression and putting that into regression (if that's possible!). He never had be nursed down to sleep, but now, that's the ONLY way he'll go to sleep. WTF?! And yes on popping off the boob or the paci falling out that causes constant wake up! I'll stand over him for like 10 minutes and the paci doesn't fall out. I walk back towards my room, and just as I'm hopping into bed.... Wahhhhh! *face palm* Rinse and repeat like 10x and he's starting to get more and more upset. Cue picking up, shushing, then co-sleeping. Something about laying in my bed is okay with him, but not in his bed! He's not even always near me. Just in the same bed!! What the heck?!

Then there was this 2 week phase where he was waking every.single.hour!!! OMG!!!

I'm going to try and start sleep training this weekend because I'm one flipping tired momma!!!

@Foodnerd81: That just makes me even more angry! If I make the effort to get an early night and she wakes up before I would usually have been in bed!! Grr!

@Cherrybee: yes, c does the same thing with the jaw slackening, only it's my nipple she needs reinserted- so annoying. I guess this is the start of the four month regression and I need to be prepared. And go to bed as soon as possible after she does.

E is waking several times a night at the moment, too. This 4 month regression is a killer! She refused her bedtime bottle last night so when she woke up at 8pm I fed her. She then slept through until 1am, when I fed her again. She was then up at 3.30am, 4am (she screamed then put herself back to sleep that time!), 5.45am and then for the day at 8am. She will fall asleep with her dummy but then her jaw slackens when she dozes off and the dummy falls out - causing her to wake up again and fuss - so each wake up can mean several trips into the nursery (or it can just mean one so you never know whether to get back into bed!!).

You have my sympathy!

Ugh. I don't want anyone else to have to deal with this, but it makes me feel better to know I have company. She finally conked out at 3:30. It's like 3/4 of the time it's quick and easy, except when it's not. She did stay in her crib until after seven- fussed a little at five something but went back to sleep- mama was not havin that one!

I know a lot of us are on here during motn wake ups and maybe secretly or not secretly annoyed about it. So, I'm going to whine about it.

Lately C is up at least twice a night. I can handle it but what is driving me nuts is lately she eats for ten minutes, comfort sucks for five, naturally falls off the breast. Yay, we are done, let's go back to sleep... Nope! She stirs, latches back on frantically... Relaxes, falls off the breast, stirs, latches back on frantically, repeat. It's so frustrating and physically irritating. Finally put her down still away and she's been fussing irritably in her crib for over fifteen minutes. Just relax and go back to sleep, dammit! She will suck on a paci for a few minutes but it won't put her to sleep.

How are your motn wake ups going?
