@paigeface: yeah we kept pre-measured doses of Advil and an insulated thermos of ice water on the hallway counter so whoever did the night waking could just grab and go. This was also when we installed push lights in the hall and in DS1's room so we could see what we were doing but it was dim enough it wasn't too jarring. We could push the light off quickly and snuggle him for a little bit until the meds kicked in.

Following. My 21m old is getting her canines AND we just moved. She has honestly not fallen asleep before 11:30pm recently (!!!). Sigh.

@MrsBucky: I think you're right. Just going to have to be patient and wait it out for him to adjust.

Give it time and try to be patient, understanding that this is his way of adjusting! We didn't move, but DD1's sleep was SO crappy after DD2 came home and we moved her into her own room. Took 3-4 weeks to settle down. It was SO hard especially with a newborn in the mix; but we just tried hard to empathize knowing that it is a lot of changes for her.

Not to throw a third wrench into the mix, but canines will have kids waking up screaming in the MOTN. We had to dose our eldest with Advil at 730 bedtime and he'd usually be up again around 1am when the first dose wore off crying and yelling and would settle with another dose, ice water, and holding him for about 20 minutes in a quiet dark room until the meds kicked back in.

After about two weeks my son's sleep evened out after our move. I'd honestly just give it time and try to be as consistent as possible. Good luck!

Hi mamas!

So we just moved into a new condo on Tuesday and our LO has been an absolute nightmare with sleep at bedtime. Naps have still been ok. He is 19 months so I know we could have a sleep regression on our hands and the move could be throwing him off. Last night and the night before it took us two hours to get him to sleep and he woke from 12:30 until 3:00am screaming. I feel like a terrible momma because I have been so frustrated with him lately because of the lack of sleep/moving. I'm sure a lot of you have gone through this when you moved to a new place. Any advice?
