It just naturally started moving up, in increments of 20ish min a day, with me encouraging it. We did the EASY routine and max waketimes.

@looch: An earlier bedtime would be helpful in getting work done at night. I usually have about 1-1.5 hours of admin tasks to complete daily on the four days I WOH. By 10 pm when baby drifts off I am more than ready for bed myself.

Why do you feel you need to move bedtime earlier? Is it in preparation for having to wake him for daycare or similar?

I was never able to easily move my sons sleep time, he was wired a certain way and that was/is that.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: we did two 5 oz bottles, around 10 and 1:30/2 then a 3 oz top up bottle around 3:30/4. He was always happy to nurse when we got home even if he literally was finishing his bottle when I got there.

I just let him wake up when hungry. This was somewhere between 12 and 3 at first until he started sleeping through around 5 months. My DD on the other hand I fed once a night through the first year.

@T.H.O.U.: I think we will be home by 5:30 most nights. Next week will be my first week in my new territory and GA traffic.

@MamaCate: what time is the last bottle your baby gets at daycare? You wake baby up ay 10 for a dream feed?

We moved bedtime to be after the feeding before that late 10 pm feeding, so around 6:30/7.

This is our rough routine:
5-home with kids
5:10 nurse baby
5:30 make dinner, kids play
5:45/6 eat
6:30 play
6:45/7 start bedtime: brush teeth, bath, pjs, nurse to sleep
Usually the baby is down by 7:30 or so. Up for the day around 6.

IRL mom friends keep telling me it's time to move LO's bedtime up. We typically start winding down around 9/ 9:30 and sometimes it can take LO a hour to fall asleep. His routine so far is SIMPLE- nurse, prayers, sings songs, silent gliding until he (and I) fall asleep. He only gets a bath twice a week and if I do it in the evening it's at least two hours before bedtime wind down.

How did you move your LO's bedtime up? To what time? How long did it take?

Pretty soon LO will begin solids. His daycare provides cereal as a first food, but at home I plan to BLW. Anything you can tell me about time management with my after work/ his after daycare routine will be super helpful. He probably will need more baths whem he starts solids?
