So our house is a mixture of craigslist, garage sales, and hand me downs when friends or family were remodeling. So it's also constantly evolving, if we see something we like we'll get it. We moved this summer and have just had a big push the last couple weekends for some painting and some decorating.<br /> When we've moved before it always worked best to do a lot of the painting/floor finishing before the move but we weren't able to do that this time. We moved when I was 8 1/2 months pregnant. And we still don't have our living room decorated :(</p> <p>Its this big awkward space with high ceilings and I just cant decide what I want to do with it. I personally don't think it looks bad as it is, we have a big tv in there and yellow walls so there is color and something there. Eventually I think ill fill it with lots of pictures, old and new, in colorful frames. There is no way I'll get everything the way I want in a hurry with a newborn and my husband in a new job - so I'll have to be patient! It takes time and gobs of money to get things just right and I didn't want to rush into buying stuff that wasn't exactly perfect. We needed to paint because even though the house was remodeled they did all the rooms in a contractor beige with cheap paint. Took us 6 months to get around to that and we're still slowly finding furniture and art and stuff.
