If I had had a choice I definitely would've chosen before. We did have a professional moving company.</p> <p>Pros<br /> -baby was still sleepy enough that the car ride was a nonissue... It sucked because you're at that nesting stage and you can't really do anything to help...... But you still can't do anything with a baby in your arms. I would try to avoid moving in the first few weeks though, and personally I would hire movers. I can't imagine doing it with a newborn. We had lots of family all come and help. Even did a lot of the unpacking for us so I could sit and rest. There are still boxes everywhere. I don't know how I would have the time to unpack while taking care of a newborn. But at the same time you just make it work! The first two weeks pp, my house was a disaster area while we were trying to settle in a new routine with a little baby. I'm 35 weeks pregnant as of tomorrow. I know that chances are even if we bid on something tomorrow, it's highly unlikely that we'd be moving before the baby is born.</p> <p>BUT, I was wondering about experiences...do you think it's easier to move right before having a baby or right after? We wouldn't be hiring a moving company...we'll do it ourselves with the help of friends and family. </p>
