Eek!! These are the Law & Order SVU scenarios that I mentioned worrying about in my last post. Some people hide the evil so well.

Yikes! That's scary! I think you'll just have to spend time interacting with people and then make your judgment from there. You can never really tell for sure so don't make yourself sick/guilty thinking about it. Just keep a positive outlook. Like you said, it's behind an elementary school so keep that in mind! :)

That's awful! I haven't experienced anything like that but I still find it hard to trust people when it comes to your LO.

We're moving back to a house that we lived in a few years ago so my husband can finish up the last part of his program. I really like the house but the neighborhood is different than when we lived there before so we'll have to re-meet lots of people. We live right behind an elementary school so luckily anyone with a bad past can't live in the neighborhood but.....last time we lived there we found out that our neighbor was molesting his daughters friends. Terrible stuff and he's now in jail but it still concerns me on how to build trust with new people.

He seemed so normal, him and his wife went out on dates once a week, had a sweet daughter, they had us over for dinner a few times. It makes me sick because they're who I probably trusted to watch our LO if I had to run a quick errand. I know you can't guard them from everything but I need to try and guard her from people like that.

How do you build trust with new people when you have LO?
