@Anagram: things will get so much better once you address all the foods she reacts to. For us it was soy, dairy, eggs, sesame, and cashew. Just the ability to have egg should be a major help because it's so filling. I can feel your stress as I read your words. I know this is so hard!!! Hang in there and I promise it will get better. Baby wearing saved our lives during that awful time period!

@Mrs. Jacks: ahh..I thought you were saying you prepared unprocessed things and then ate snacks of seeds, nuts, and hummus/carrots! I'm pumping over 40 oz a day now and am pretty insatiable but it's worth a shot substituting those things for meals.

I'm deep in the throes of a baby who doesn't nap, struggles to eat, and wakes every hour on the hour all night right now, so there are days when even eating dried cereal from a box is a stretch, but when my husband gets home and he can deal with LO, I inhale everything in site--like, literally everything. The idea of now having to cook something or just eat nuts and seeds and hummus is making me die a little inside. And I love hummus...but with like, an entire pizza as a side. I mean, a little weight loss is great but I wasn't planning on a major diet while I'm also dealing with no sleep and a inconsolable baby, you know?

On a happy note, I just got back from another reconnaissance mission at the grocery store and found a few things that I feel like are a little more substantial (in my head!) that are soy and dairy free. At this point, I don't care about price, just survival!

For anyone else that ever reads this thread, I found this Pacific brand of organic soups have several that are both dairy and soy free, and I found the Udi's line of breads that are dairy and soy free. I also found both coconut and almond yogurts that are dairy and soy free and I bought a bunch of bananas and apples.

I just started this two days ago and woke up starving in the middle of the night, with nothing to eat in the house except leftover chicken which isn't appetizing at 3 am, so having these few things makes me feel slightly better.

Annnd my baby's poop did test positive for blood at the Ped today so she said go dairy and soy free 100% until Tuesday and come back for another poop test. So I guess I'll be staying away from the soy lecithin for now.

@Anagram: I think that all the things I shared were "no prep", so I'm a little confused about your comment?

Barbara's bars can be found at whole foods. Hummus and carrots from Costco.i think honey Grahams are ok too. I know it's hard, but so worth it!

@Anagram: do you have a carrier like a beco or ergo? If you aren't at the stove you can wear your baby and do some prep work. The best place for convenience foods was whole foods but it costs an arm and a leg. Target had freeze dried fruit that is easy, happy time sunny buddies and plum tots fruit and veggie shreds aren't bad. These are snacks we feed our son. MSPI is no fun and 3 months old is tough but you need to take care of yourself in order to pump and take care of your baby.

@brownie: guess I'd have to buy a crock pot, huh. And a blender? Lol. Even making a smoothie at this point seems a little time intensive as I have a 3 month old that doesn't eat or sleep and hates to be out down. I already tolerate the crying in her bouncer while I pump... Hate to make her cry more while I Prep fruit. Blah. I need house help!

@Mrs. Jacks: I love the idea of eating unprocessed but the reality is that I don't have the time to prepare more than maybe 1 meal a day since I'm an exclusive pumper and already have to leave my 3 month old to her own devices while I do that 6 times a day. Other than like..,apples or bananas, and nuts ... Anything else you can think if that I can eat for lunch/snacks that require no prep?

I'll have to look for the Barbara's cherry bars, I haven't ever seen those before.

Nut allergies run in my family so I'm a little wary of eating those all the time in case she has reactions to that too. I'm going to the Ped today (blood in my Lo's poop last night) and will see what she says.

My son still reacts to soy protein at 2 1/2 years old. He has always tolerated soy lecithin and soybean oil. So we were/are lucky.

My go to snacks were nuts, fruit, eggs, and the crockpot was a godsend. We would find a paleo crockpot recipe and have dinner ready for us. Then lunch was leftovers of some sort. Fruit smoothies helped with breakfast. I would make a large smoothie and then freeze the extra in the ball jars. Then the night before I pulled one into the freezer and I had smoothie again the next morning.

I had to avoid lecithin and oil, but most people don't have that problem. For me I did snacks of nuts, avocado, hummus (until she reacted to sesame), Barbara's cherry bars, seeds (pumpkin, sunflower). I lost 10 lbs, ate pretty unprocessed and felt great :)

I was reading on MSPI mama that a lot if MSPI babies don't react to soy lecithin or soy oil (veg oil). What were your experiences with those two specifically? Soy lecithin is on EVERYTHING!

also, I really can't cook 3 meals a day-- I've figured out cereal and almond milk for breakfast, but are there any other go to snacks I can buy that I can eat one handed with no prep?
