@winniebee: albertson brand bagels and buns are safe but breads have been the most difficult thing. We didn't do many breads. The other breads that have been more successful is sourdough but just yesterday I ran into one with soy flour. Many pastas are safe so we did that or just fruits, veggies and meat.

Any other suggestions? How about MSPI safe breads? So far we're doing a little BLW with mostly fruit and veggies (and Happy puffs and Healthy times biscuits) and I'd like to mix it up.

I LOVE target. We get the freeze fried fruit there and he loves that. Then in the baby aisle, we love happy time they have carrot orange fruit snacks and sunbutter buddies we love. We did the happy baby puffs and the Gerber fruit and veggie melts. Plum now has a rice milk melt and happy baby has cocnut milk melts. Sprouts has some toddler microwave meals we like. We read lots of ingredients. Revolution foods jammy Sammy's and fruit shreds are also nice. We are working on weight gain and eat the Justin's almond butter in the 1 oz packets as well.

@regberadaisy: We just got it last week, and she's still trying to get the hang of it (8 months old). I ended up cutting out the valve on one (we got two) so that she wouldn't struggle as much to get the food out. I should have ordered one regular and one "squeeze with eeze" spout. She doesn't really take bottles and uses a straw cup too so I'm not sure if that is hindering her at all.
My bff got them too, her little guy is 9 months and took to it right away.

All in all, I like them. It's an easy way to feed her a mid-day meal/snack that isn't super messy, it's portable, and I can control what goes in it. I'm pretty fussy about what she eats (no sugar, no dairy, no soy, no wheat). I would recommend them to others for sure.

Ok so the ever popular baby mum mums have no dairy BUT the same equipment used to manufacture them make other items that contain skim milk powder.

I think that's safe enough for M!

Looks like regular Cheerios is safe too.

@winniebee: I was just looking for a recipe for a cookie or something like that for E and I stumbled across this website
http://www.homemade-baby-food-recipes.com/wheat-free-teething-biscuits.html

The second recipe is MSPI, gluten and sugar free (all musts for us right now). We also do a siliqueeze with applesauce (or fruit sauce depending on what we have in the house) when we're on the go. I'm going to try and make banana chips this week to see if they turn out. I'm sure she'll love those too.

@zippylef: Thanks! We get Earth's Best everything and I'm assuming that they make dairy and soy free biscuits, etc.

I don't have experience but I would assume any meats, fruits and veg would be okay. C LOVES cucumber sticks.

A friend has this issue with her daughter and she buys these organic, dairy free teething biscuits from Whole Foods. Earth's Best makes some fruit/cereal stuff that doesnt contain milk or soy.

Has anyone done research into good foods to give your MSPI baby? I'm still in the puree phase with my son but need to do some research about stuff that's safe to give him when he's ready for finger foods (Cheerios, puffs, crackers, breads, etc).

Has anyone been through this and able to share?
