@anonysquire: I'm glad the baby is A-OK! My BH contractions felt exactly like my real contractions before my water broke. I was 3.5 cm dilated for weeks. But those BH are working for you!

3 minutes ago Edit

I forgot to update. Saturday I lost 2 parts of my mucus plug. Sunday night I started having bleeding. Not gushing or anything but not spotting. Like period like but lighter? IF that makes sense. So I called my midwife and she said to take it easy and come in Monday but if it gets worse to go to the ER. So Monday I went to the midwife and got all checked up and stuff. Baby is doing great! HR is still 140 and they said super strong heart so that is good. Also baby moved to LOA position. Oh and I am freaking 3cm dilated! Again I know this could last like this for 10 more weeks. But things are happening up in der. And I have been having contractions I guess? They said that I am but I don't know. Yes I have been having BH all day lately and period cramping but I really kind of doubt they are contractions. Anyways so midwife gave me a prescription for magnesium and some unicorn root (WTH?) tincture to drink with juice 3 times a day and also a note for work to take it easier so hopefully the contractions will stop.

But then the midwife wanted to get me an ultrasound since there was bleeding and she wanted to rule out placenta abruption. But of course me being me, I did not bring my wallet. Like I drove 20 miles without my license? So I said I can't have one today because I did not bring money. You have to pay $160 upfront for any ultrasounds there. But the ultrasound tech was so nice and said we could do a free one and only if he found something wrong would he have to charge me. He has a great memory because he instantly remembered that we are team green so he didn't let me see the gender. It might be because I was wearing the same pants as my 20 week appointment :/ But he did the ultrasound and said baby looked great and placenta looked great and the baby has a ton of hair! It showed up white on the screen. Now I am excited to see if that is true. I have had enough heartburn starting like day of conception, to last me a lifetime so hopefully it is true! Anyways so nothing was wrong with that so he didn't charge me! And now I am freaking out that nothing is ready here for a baby but my depression cycle is at the point where I have absolutely no motivation to do anything even though the world may be falling apart around me. So that was my weekend

I noticed losing mine around weeks 36 and 37. Had bloody show and my water broke at 37+2. No idea about what, if any, restrictions there are.

I'd call and check with your midwife/doctor just to be sure, but I don't think there are any restrictions. I *think* the no sex/no baths is advised once your water breaks?

I've been consistently losing chunks of mine since 28 weeks; I'm now 37+6 and it's still coming out. My midwife said as long as there's no blood and no contractions, there's no need to worry!

@anonysquire: you're going to keep losing parts of it for weeks. there won't be anyway to know if it grows back. Being slimy down there is all part of the third trimester. :)

@Dandelion: I could be making this up but I swear I read somewhere that you cant take a bath or have sex til it grows back? Ugh and now I cant remember. Will call midwife on Monday, thanks :)

I lost parts of mine for weeks until 39 weeks, when the whole thing obviously came out. Check with your midwife for any resrictions but I don't think there are any with that.

Pretty sure I have lost 2 parts of my mucus plug tonight. No bloody show though. I am only around 32 weeks and only 1 cm dilated so I know I have ages to go but I am wondering what are the things I am not allowed to do until it grows back?

And my cervix is killing me now!!
