@abbydabbydoodlebug: Oh, yeah, if she poops, you have to change it, and yeah, that will wake her up more :( I did always let her fuss for a while but yeah, more often than not I'd have to go in anyway and just feel like I was prolonging the wake up for all of us.

Doing the actual feeding in the dark might help though. Good luck. We are having a 9 (10) month sleep regression but at least she is staying asleep now, it's just the falling asleep that's painful.

@Foodnerd81: I turn on a nightlight and check her diaper because she tends to poop in the middle of the night. She won't go to sleep or stay asleep with a dirty diaper. But maybe after that, turn it off and feed in the dark? Didn't know about not needing the full feed either. Good to know.

I know I should be leaving her to fuss it out but more likely she won't and so I just go right away to get her so I can get it over with and go back to sleep. I'll try letting her fuss more until she goes into a full cry and then go get her.

Her sleep has been crap since we moved her to her crib at 11 weeks. She was doing OK for a little bit, 5 hours and 3-4 hours with one wake up, but lately it's been happening more and more. She's 15 weeks now. She's never sttn before. Looking forward to the day where she does sttn! It can't come soon enough.

Baby D is going through the same thing (14 weeks) so I was wondering if it's the 4 month regression a little early. I bottle feed and he's been having trouble going to sleep without a bottle so I've been feeding him in the middle of the night just so we can maximize our sleep!

I do the same as you - nurse back to sleep bc there's only so many wakes up, get up, pick up, rock, then put down (rinse and repeat a million times) before I feel like I'm going to fall on my face. DS is 10 months old now, and I'm starting to wean him from nursing during wake ups. He's clearly still very tired, but can't connect his sleep cycles. Hoping this is just a small regression for you and the end is near!

Sounds like the 4 month regression. After my son was through that and swaddle weaned we did some gentle sleep training encouraging him to go to sleep on his own and not responding right away to motn wakeups and his sleep definitely improved.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: We had this last week with the 4 month sleep regression! We just waited for her to fuss herself to sleep or if that didn't worl fed her and put her back to bed. This week she has only woken up once in the MOTN or has STTN.

I would leave her in the sleep suit. When c would wake up I would disturb her as little as possible- no talking, no light, no change, just quietly walk in, put her on the boob and sit there in the dark. They don't need full feedings at night anymore (unless there are weight gain issues) so I preferred just a quick drowsy snack. I didn't find she woke up more or less whether se had a full feed or a snack.

Possibly putting her down awake at night could help her fall back asleep between sleep cycles. It helped us but did involve CIO at bedtime.

Sounds like the 4 month sleep regression. Or she is waking up between sleep cycles and thinks she needs nursing to fall asleep. I would leave her swaddled and see if that helps being the time down.

So DD has decided sleep is for babies and hasn't slept longer than 3 hours the past few nights. We've had bad nap days recently so that could totally be the culprit. Anyway, I'm ebf and I gave been going to nurse her back to sleep each time. Should I be doing this? Is it possible I'm creating a dependency? I just don't know how else to get her back to sleep. She goes down drowsy but awake for naps but I've never done it for night sleep. I'm just so tired. She went to sleep at 8, woke at 11, 245, and right now 445. She takes an hour to eat because I leave her sleep suit off so she gets a good feed but maybe I should leave it on so she goes to asleep faster? She was only asleep for an hour and 15 minutes this last time! Could I be in the 4 month sleep regression? If you ebf, what did you do with these MOTN wake ups?
