My step mother was pregnant with a set of twins, then miscarried one twin, and then had my sister. Then she got pregnant with another set of twins, miscarried one, and had my brother. There is some very interesting biology going on there.

My coworker had identical twin boys and then identical twin girls. It was crazy, because I thought identical twins were random...

DH has a co-worker who had two sets of fraternal twins two years apart. My grandmother had twins at 40 (delivery day surprise!) after having two singleton pregnancies 10+ years earlier, so I always knew you could be more likely to have twins as you get older.

Yup, it's true! Once you have twins once, you're statistically more likely to have them again. It happened to my cousin, she had 4 kids under the age of two!

A patron at my library had identical twin girls and was pregnant for a second time with twin boys. I can't remember if they were identical as well, but I think they were...pretty crazy!

Do you know anyone who had natural multiples multiple times?
I just read where with aging there is an increase of hormones which encourages more eggs to release. So does this mean I have a higher chance of having multiples again? Hmmm

I only know of one person, dh's step aunt. She had twins but one was stillborn & later she was pregnant with triplets but had and early miscarriage & lost one of the three. She still had the twins. It was all natural.
