Around 4-5 months into the pregnancy they started rotating the OBs I would see when I head my checkups because they said they couldn't guarantee if my particular OB would be on call the day I delivered. I thought it was strange in the beginning but actually didn't mind. I probably saw 6 or 7 different OBs during my pregnancy and I had never even seen the OB who delivered DS. Honestly, I was totally fine with it. I scheduled an appt with the new OB, and the first appt was worlds apart from our previous doctor--it was really a no-brainer to switch at that point. Switching OBs also meant changing the hospital where I was to deliver, which was also what i wanted. If you are already pregnant I wouldn't be having prenatal care from two different practices...
