@MrsStormy: That was my plan-- just add the things that buy buy baby doesn't have (Beco carrier) but BBB has almost everything else. I think having the hostess spread the word should help.

I think a way you could spread the word about the amazon registry is just tell your friends and family that the amazon registry has things you wanted buy they didn't have at the store you registered for, so you would love to receive those things and if people get them somewhere else/ find a deal they can just mark it as purchased on amazon.

ETA: We will use our amazon registry for almost anything I can't find in store at Target since that is where I will do a brick and mortar registry. I think it tends to be cheaper and easier to order from them, but that way I wont have duplicates. For example, I think we want a boba carrier and they don't have that at target so that will be on my amazon registry, or they don't carry my carseat in store at Target so that would be on my amazon registry.

Was it awkward at your showers if you got multiples? I'd feel bad if someone felt awkward about a duplicate.

My registries are pretty much duplicates of each other! If i get two of something I just return one for credit. If I notice something is purchased on one registry I'll mark it off on the other.

I had a target & amazon one. I ended up pretty much putting a lot of the same stuff on both cause I couldn't figure out another way around it. If I got 2 of something, I returned it to target.

If you had multiple registries, including an Amazon one, how did you decide what to put on which registry? A lot of things are the same price, pretty much, and I don't care where someone gets it, I just want them to do what's easiest/cheapest for them.

Also, I want to indicate that for the Amazon one, it's possible that they can find things cheaper elsewhere, so feel free to shop around and get the best deal and just mark it as purchased, but I feel like that comes off as bossy somehow. Did you put a note on your Amazon registry? How did you phrase it? I know until I actually created my own Amazon registry, I didn't know you could do that so I just clicked on the precise item selected, even if I could find that exact thing cheaper somewhere else, to not mess up their list.
