We have two infant seats that snap into the stroller. I cannot imagine not having had the carrier seats, it just makes it so much easier. They're 14mo & still using them.

I don't have twins but to speak to what twodoghouse said about small babies, MaxiCosi does a good job of catering to tiny ones - I had two 5.5 pounders and they felt snug and secure in MaxiCosi Mico/Pebble seats from the beginning.

And I'm sorely missing the convenience of an infant seat for my older daughter - she stayed in it til at least 18 months. I can't imagine doing convertible seats for two kids who can't follow directions/stand and wait their turn to get buckled - it's hard enough doing one convertible and one capsule!

No doubles, but if I could go back in time I wouldn't buy the travel system. A snap and go works just as well, is lighter, and cheaper. And for little babies, I felt like the infant seat was invaluable.

We have Britax B Safe infant car seats when they were babies. Instead of getting extra bases for our second at though, we got convertible car seats to save money down the road. Then around 9 months we switched out infant car seats for convertible ones in my car.

My sister has twins and had Chicco KeyFits and snapped them into City Select double stroller. They use their stroller a ton because they live in a very walkable neighborhood and the nanny takes the twins to a nearby park every day.

While they haven't popped out yet, we have two Chicco Keyfits for the twins along with a TwinRoo (a double snap n go basically). We don't foresee the need for an actual double stroller until they get much bigger. We always used our snap n go much more than our regular stroller for the first 9 months or so.

I have infant car seats for my kids. No travel system, but I did get a double snap n go, as well as a big side by side stroller. One thing to keep in mind is that twins may be smaller than your average newborn, so you want a carseat that starts at 4 lbs. My kids were full term and left the hospital at 4.5 lbs and 5.5lbs. So glad we had thought ahead to get infant seats that fit tiny babies!

I have infant car seats for my twins. I live in the Midwest where winters are cold so it's easier to load them up indoors and put the car seat cover over them rather than figure out how to keep them safe and warm in a convertible seat.

I dont have twins but I used to babysit a pair. Their mom had a pair of graco snugrides that they used well over a year. Just much easier to strap them in indoors

If you have or had multiples, did you go with infant car seats or a convertible car seat?

Also, did you buy one of those travel systems? There was a Graco travel system for twins on Amazon lightning yesterday and I wondered what current moms do.
