I liked the K'Tan for DD3, who was tiny - it was the best fit for the newborn days when she really couldn't fit in the Bjorn and certainly not the Ergo. Also we didn't have an rnp for lo1 but did for lo2, it was great to have a safe/lo1-free spot to set her down when she was teensy. We never used one with our first who really, REALLY struggled with sleep til he was 1 and still struggles intermittently. But if you're willing to use it towards a higher priced item, the Bjorn Bouncer was a life saver for me with #2. It's so portable and baby loved it as a place to hang when my hands were full taking care of number one. And we eventually used it to feed him as well when he first started solids.
