for us, LO transitioned from three 1 hr naps to two 1.5 hour naps around 7-8 months. At 12 months right now he's still going strong with the two 1.5 hour naps --- although i have noticed that if push comes to shove he is ok with skipping his 2nd nap, or cutting it short. :) for my sanity i hope he keeps the 2 naps as long as possible! :) just our experience!

He's been trying to drop the second nap since about 14 months. Now at 16 months he's mostly at 1 nap, we just go day by day and adjust accordingly.

When I had my older daughter, I wanted her to be down to one nap when she started daycare. So that was my goal. But when she was about 7 months old she was taking two 20 minute naps a day. Not even long enough for me to have a shower, really. My MIL suggested transitioning her, and I totally flipped out. It seemed too early. I wasn't ready for a 'big girl' around here yet!

Anyhow, we did it and suddenly, her 20 minute naps turned in to one 3-4 hour long nap a day! SCORE!

She is now 3.5 and still naps about 3 times a week(ish) for about 2 hours at a time.

Around 13 months. Generally before babies still need both b/c their max wake up times aren't long enough to get them through just having 1 nap a day.

She dropped it right after she turned one. She just stopped taking her second nap so I moved her first and now only to the afternoon.

My 9 month old takes two naps a day- one at 9:30ish for about 45 minutes to an hour and a second nap at 1:30ish for about an hour and a half. Recently she has stopped showing tired signs for the second nap and after a period of time I put her down anyway and she easily falls asleep. When she wakes up from this nap she's often cranky. Any thoughts? When did your LO drop their second nap?
