We have the Britax Advocate 70, and he seems ok in there. One thing I noticed, though, is that the car seat you have looks like it has an additional pillow? The Britax we have also came with an additional detachable pillow (it kinda supports his back/torso and wraps around the sides a bit). When we switched DS over to his convertible seat, he started crying and being cranky about getting in his seat. Once I removed the pillow, though, he went back to his normal happy self.
