Haha... it always drives me crazy how he will take 30 mins to put a single piece of food into his mouth while sitting in his highchair.. but as soon as he's out, he'll swipe the tiniest little piece of paper or lint off the ground and pop! into the mouth it goes, immediately!

Within reason, don't worry about it. It's how their immune systems grow strong- constant exposure to all of the local germs. If the whole house was sterile they'd probably keel over when they get to kindergarten etc.

I'm 100% sure that when LO starts to crawl she'll be eating dog hair like crazy. I can't clean it up fast enough, he's such a shedder! So gross.

Haha. I think my LO was pretty good about not eating random things but she has definitely eaten paper before! I like the cleaning help, especially when she finds stuff underneath the couch. Woohoo!

What do you do when your LO eats random things off the floor?
It's amazing how fast she shoves things into her mouth! I'll usually tackle her, stick my fingers in her mouth and pull the item out..
If it's paper and she fights hard enough, I just let her eat it. :P
