I was SO happy to have kids at the same time and raise our babies together, especially because when I had my first, NO ONE around me had kids so we were basically alone. Then she finished her phd and moved to the west coast when she was 6 months pregnant. We knew she was going to move soon but I thought at least we'd have our babies here first and then she'd move. I was so sad. Still am!!!! She's planning on coming back for a month in August (I'm due at the beginning of Aug) but it's just not the same. I'm sad that she won't be there for the shower now, or watch my bump grow, or visit with the baby. I grew up without any family nearby, and I feel like I missed something when I see how close other families are. I'm going to see my cousins for the first time since the wedding (year and a half ago) and it's because my grandmother passed away and we're all gathering for her memorial.</p> <p>Then I feel guilty for wanting her to put her life on hold so that she can be near me.</p> <p>Anyway, hang in there!
