When she would shallow latch (once I figured out that's what it was) i would take her off and try to have her latch deeper. We have been not using the shield and DD is doing great but I am HURTING! I know you went through the same thing, did your nipples hurt as they kind of toughened up? Or did you have to teach your LO to latch again? I'm afraid she picked up lazy habits with the shield. I thought we were stuck with using the thing forever but one day she was just done with it! Yeah! </p>
