Oh yes. I look like I got stuffed with cellulite, I am hypothyroid, I broke my back when lo was 2 mos old, and she has been up 5-10 times a night due to teething and only sleeps 1-2 hours and naps on me :( rough times! Plus we just moved so !!! Really rough! I have leg cramps at night and my joints crack and my hips get stuck. Oh man! I now know true fatigue... like eating ice cream for breakfast for energy and no energy to stand up or lift my arm... sounds laughable but it is terrible!

@Mrs. Chipmunk: If you don't feel good, keep pressing. I'm not trying to freak you out because our symptoms sound different, but I had headaches, dizziness, constant illness or sinus infections for about 4-5 months and I thought I was losing my mind because I just feel like crap all the time. Then my eyesight started getting patchy all of the sudden (in the vision tests it was like I was looking through swiss cheese - certain letters would be there, some wouldn't). I went through a bunch of doctors, was put on multiple allergy medicines for the sinus infections, went to 2 OD's, and 3 opthalmologists before I finally got one that pushed me to get an MRI of my head to see if there was something wrong with my optic nerve in the area that extends beyond where their instruments can see. Along the way, they diagnosed with me allergies I had never had before, sinus-related disorders, optic neuritis - all completely unexplained and "probably due to stress from your job." Meanwhile my eyesight kept getting worse.

1 MRI later, it turns out I had a benign brain tumor (a meningioma) the size of a golf ball in the middle of my face (where my sinuses and optic nerves are right between my eyes) and that's what had been causing all my problems (and my fertility problems!).

Again, I'm not saying you have what I have, but don't dismiss your symptoms if you know they aren't normal. Especially with the vision stuff, I'd push for more tests because if you're having headaches on top of it. Have you had your vision tested to see if your Rx has changed? Mine did a few times before and since the brain tumor and I always get the blurred vision/headache thing.

Yeah....chronic sleep deprivation has a significant impact. Also, that kind of sleep deprivation- only being allowed to sleep for short increments at a time- is a form of torture. So.....maybe time to address that in some way?
My LO has been a challenging sleeper, and i know that even small improvements in her sleep always helped me feel soooo much better.

Sorry you're feeling so run down. Are you in a cold weather climate? I often begin to feel that way toward the end of March when winter is dragging on.

I felt like this a month ago. Run down and just kind of shitty. Dh told me it was probably just the parenting glow... :(

I hope some of those things get better soon! It's the worst feeling when there's nothing "wrong".

But don't underestimate the impact that chronic lack of sleep has on your body. It doesn't function properly or heal itself if it's not resting.

@Mrs. Chipmunk: I'm so sorry you're dealing with all of this an no one can really give you definitive answers!

I can't relate totally, but I do feel like I'm falling apart! I'm also exhausted all the time, but I know it's from lack of sleep. LO has been waking up with teething pain in the middle of the night...enough to just wake me up to worry and not be able to get back to sleep.

And (this is going to sound really childish), but my younger brother (29-year old) decided to try a wrestling move on me 3 weeks ago. Something popped in my shoulder then, and it hasn't recovered. He was just horsing around and totally didn't mean it, but I can barely lift LO into and out of his car seat...and it's getting worse

Damn me for getting old!

my body is falling apart and everything is coming back normal. i'm super exhausted/dehydrated/prone-to-migraines post exercise since 5 months PP, but my bloodwork was healthy. I wrecked my back 2 weeks ago with the car seat. Last week my left eye has a blurry patch in it. I went for an eye exam today with an ophthalmologist, she says my retina are ok, but my optic nerves are swollen, which may or may not be normal for me.

i wish i would just get some sort of "yes, this is due to lack of sleep" or what have you.

the icing on the cake for me is that my daughter has been sleeping in only 1-3 hour stretches each night and has 4-5 "middle of the night" wakeups.

anyone else falling apart?
