Maybe try cold compresses after a feeding? I froze washcloths and wrapped another dry washcloth around it then stuffed the whole shebang in my bra.

You'd be surprise how fast it goes when LO is at daycare. Are you going back to work? I sent 10/oz a day to daycare when he started at 8 weeks.

@matador84: true. I've got over 100 oz in the freezer right now so was just going to break for a little while' but I guess the key to regulating my supply is consistency ??

I wouldn't cut out the freezer bag. You might want it later if you end up with supply problems. Your supply will level off eventually.

I get that soreness after being engorged and it usually goes away after a day of so. Isn't it cruel that you finally sleep but wake up uncomfortable!

Last night LO slept really good! I block feed so before he went to sleep he nursed around 7:30 on the left side. He nursed at 2 on the right. I didn't think he would go for a long stretch after that so I didn't worry about the left but he ended up sleeping until 6:30. My left hadn't been emptied in almost 11 hrs. It was so engorged !!! I hand expressed some before feeding him.

I feel like my over supply has started back up again. All of a sudden he had two days of green poops so I really was diligent about making sure he got to the hind milk. Today we are back to (bright!!!) yellow poops but they are very stringy. Like he ate a spool of thread haha!

All that to say, my boobs just feel ...weird. Kind of achy and like they are never emptied fully.

I've gone back to uphill nursing and letting down in a towel. I don't want to pump and encourage more production because that may be what got me here in the first place. Should I just tough the engorgement out and wait for it to regulate. Hand expression doesn't encourage more production, right ???

I was pumping a freezer bag (5oz) every day and also a bottle (4oz). I'm cutting the freezer bag for now and just going to pump his bottle each day when DH feeds him.

Blah. Am I handling this right ?
