Personally, I just sat criss cross applesauce most of the time and fed ds in my lap. I didn't find the need for a pillow or anything else, but do admit I have a short torso. I wouldn't recommend needing these if you're shorter but I could see if you were taller how one of the two might be useful. I also felt like it was more versatile.. We overnighted one after we met with our lc and used one. So good. I would clip it and then DH would bring her to me. It has a pocket and I would keep a Kleenex and my nipple cream in there. I could sit on the couch and LO could lounge on top and it gave great support. It is annoying having to clip it on while holding a baby, but it's doable. I was told by a LC that the Boppy wasn't made for breastfeeding, and it doesn't help you get positioned correctly. This probably depends on your boob size and how well your LO latches, but my LO had a terrible, terrible latch and really required one hand behind her head to position it and the other hand to open her lips a little--and since the MBF had a strap, it stayed put more.
