It never occurred to me to get a Brest Friend since I figured I was covered but I had such a difficult time breastfeeding my newborn on the Boppy that I caved and got the Brest Friend, and I swear, it was like the heavens opened up for me! It was so much easier to use, more comfortable, and I could even get up and walk with the baby on it (while holding onto the pillow, of course!) All that traveling gets the boppy dirty and I don't think you'd want to wash the whole pillow while you are on the trip (there is no way to take off the cover of the pillow to wash, you'll have to wash the whole thing as is. FYI I washed it after I got back home and it held up well). I highly recommend it. I can't imagine having a full boppy on the plane when you are crammed with the diaper bag, hand carry luggage and all, and on top of that having to carry a baby in and out of the plane. If you are traveling get the travel boppy too - it folds and zips up like a bag. I was almost not going to get it but it was a lifesaver. When we were out and about or on the plane it easily folds up and looks just like a regular bag, and when we were just hanging out at the hotel we put the boppy inside a regular boppy cover and it looks and functions just like a regular boppy. I am tall but it seemed to work to have it partially supported on the arms of the glider so that the position was comfortable.
