It gave her an opportunity to get used to the sounds. She was scared as heck (every time I went downstairs she was hiding in the laundry tub) but it made a HUGE difference. It's a new and unfamiliar place and it may take a few weeks until she's comfortable. Autumn (my chicken baby cat) was terrified of ceiling fans for the longest time but now they don't bother her. We moved into our new house last week and it's 4 times as big as our apartment was. It also comes with all kinds of noises, which makes a scaredy cat, even more scared. We really want to keep her litter box in the basement (which is partially finished, so it's not THAT scary) but we have to carry her down because she won't willingly go on her own. Any advice? I really do not want her litter box in the main living area, but I don't want her to be scared either... </p>
