Sometimes meds just takes time to kick in. I usually do sliced onions in the socks overnight with the left of the onion in their room in a bowl by the bed. When it's over 102 I do both tylenol/advil and onions. I've had such great success with it so continue to do it. It took many calls to my ped's pager with my oldest to feel comfortable enough to not call unless my husband and I both feel like something is not right. My suggestion is that if you're not sure, just call them. that's what they are there for. It's worth the piece of mind to me. And the temp going up while medicated would concern me. I took her temp around 11:30 and she had a 101 fever. I gave her some generic Tylenol and check her temp at 12 it went up to 101.1 I took it again at 12:13 and it's up to 101.6. </p> <p>I want to call at 102 but DH thinks the temp needs to be higher. She is 15 months old , at what point do you call the ped? </p>
