When he was tiny, he would ONLY sleep on our chests. Later, he needed to nurse to sleep and then for a long time I would have to hold him if I wanted him to nap. When he got older he would sleep by himself but needed to be nursed or walked or driven to fall asleep.</p> <p>I'm not big on schedules. In fact, I've never followed one with him. My dream was always to have a kid who would just lay down and sleep when he was tired.</p> <p>Today-- at 21.5 months-- that dream came true! I was lying down on the couch and he was playing but sleepy. He climbed up on the couch and curled up and slept.
