It is almost impossible not to yell since it hurts so bad, but it is something to keep in mind. He would bite when he was done and getting bored. What worked for me was just ending the session when I knew he had enough and when he started getting distracted. Oh my goodness I saw stars. Thankfully it didn't break skin. I screamed and it scared him. The next time it happened, I was ready and as soon as he started biting down I shoved my finger between his teeth, deep into his mouth (next to my nipple) and looked into his eyes and said "no, no!!" in a deep and serious tone, but not yelling. He actually laughed at me, I think. My lo went through it around the same age. She bit me really hard twice once broke skin. I immediately ended the nursing session if it happened. Tonight was the most painful time and it tends to be at his bedtime feeding or when he is really tired. I take him off and tell him no but he gets so offended and cries and cries.
