@banana: yes! I held him and after apologizing and telling him how much I love him, I asked "you know that was an accident, right?" and he told me that I meant to make him fall. Oh, it broke my heart. He's been adjusting just fine to the baby but he seems to dislike me out of nowhere :( I'm making an effort to give him my undivided attention more often though and we have dates (just the two of us) once a week which helps!

@HeatherlovesKenny: Awwww. He thought you did it on purpose? I'm nervous about bringing baby home because I'm afraid my son will start acting up! :(

DS rolled over from back to tummy for the very first time two weeks ago, right off the couch and onto his face. :( Luckily, we were in a hotel and the couch was only about a foot off the ground, but it still gave me major mommy guilt. He seems fine, but I still feel terrible.

I totally feel you! DS tripped and fell head first into the side of our bedframe. Now there's a big pink gash on his head. And this morning he was bending down and hit his head on the corner of our bed frame so there is a pink spot under his eye. Ugh...its the worst feeling but as long as he is smiling and seeming to be himself, I feel better. Things like this will happen right?

Aw it happens--don't feel bad!
I did much worse the other day...DS who is 3 was in a time-out and was sitting facing the window, playing with the blinds so I went to move the chair away from the blinds...I thought he was holding on tight but he fell head first to the ground. :( he thought I did it on purpose because I was already upset with him for being in a time-out. I cried probably for an hour. Especially because he's just adjusting to having a new baby sister and it's been tough on him lately. I don't want him to feel unloved!
Big mom fail.

@Mrs. Jacks: totally did that with my first. blood everywhere and tears all around. So very hard to get a bandaid on a baby finger tip! I chew the baby's nails now, I'm terrified to clip them.

I've clipped both my girls' finger tips... And the worst part is the moment I did it to M I was talking about how I was experienced now and wouldn't do it. :( I sucked!

Awwww. it was an accident. Plus it toughens him up. It's all good.. haha. I remember holding my son (who I think was 2 or 3 months old at the time) and I turned to say something to my husband and I bonked his head against the stair rail edge (it's pretty sharp) and he started bawling like he's never bawled before! He had small bruise on his forehead and I felt SO BAD. I freaked out and called the nurse and she said as long as he's acting normal, he should be fine. It was so scared cause baby's heads are so fragile! Thankfully he was fine.

Don't' worry mama! We all have those moments!

Omg. Don't even get me started on mommy fails about falls like that. Once we left the basement door open and Wagon Jr. fell down an entire flight of wooden stairs. Worst moment of my life. All I'll say is: it's a rite of passage! I understood that when we were waiting in the emergency room waiting room and there were all these other kids (mostly boys!) in various states, all from falls off of the kitchen table or from their high chair or whatnot!

We are going camping next week so I wanted to go in the garage and take stock of what we have and what we need. So I wheeled the stroller (it's a chicco cortina) in there to put lo in it so he could be close. For whatever reason I didn't even think about buckling him in... He started fussing and then I heard a thump followed by crying. He had slipped out of the stroller! Luckily (if I can even say that) he landed on some flattened boxes and not on the concrete. I picked him up and took him inside, so far he seems fine. He has been smiling and cooing at me (he is three months) and wiggling around. No signs of bumps or bruises yet. I feel so bad! Once I determined he was okay I started bawling!

Has anyone done something similar? Or have any mommy fail stories?
